Dumbo Rat

Fancy Rat
|
The main difference between Dumbo and Fancy rats are the placement and the size of the ears. Dumbo rats have more rounded ears set lower on the head. Fancy rats have slightly smaller ears places higher on the head. They are both wonderful.
Types of Coats
Standard
Standard coat is your normal basic coat. It basically just means straight hair.
|
Rex
A rex is a curly haired rat. From really curly to loose waves. Males tend to have tighter curls then females. Even the whiskers are curly. |
Double Rex
The double rex is an offspring of two rats with the Rex gene They are completely bald, with very short curly whiskers. Some double rexes may have small patches of fur on their face and ankles.
|
Coat types above are just about the look of the coat, not the color.
Types of Markings
Solid/Self
Completely one color. (Rarely happens) Most "Selfs" are actually Irish.
|
Irish
A white triangle or any sort of small white marking on the chest and/or belly.
|
Hooded
Head and shoulders are covered in color, with a strip of color down the spine of their back. The rest of the body is white.
|
Berkshire
The belly is white and it usually extends down to the legs.

Note: There are more types of coats and patterns. But this is what I could carry at any time.
